Little Piney is a lakefront lodge in Hermann, a small river town in the middle of Missouri wine country. Most of you will be driving in, so here’s how to get here, where to stay, and what to do if you’d like to stretch the trip into a weekend.
Getting to Hermann
By car
Hermann is about 80 miles west of St. Louis, roughly an hour and a half, and about three hours east of Kansas City. The last stretch is two-lane country road, so give yourself a little extra time.
By plane
St. Louis Lambert International (STL) is the closest major airport, about an hour and a half away by car. We’d recommend renting a car for the weekend.
By train
Amtrak’s Missouri River Runner stops right in Hermann on its route between St. Louis and Kansas City. You’ll still want a ride from the station to the lodge.
Where to stay
Hermann is a small town and rooms go quickly in the summer, so we’d suggest booking early.
